About

Cafe Chaos is a place you can come to remember the old school days of BBSing. Back in the good old days of 1986, Cafe Chaos was a single line WWIV-based system. Today, it is a multi-line, multi-protocol system thanks to SynchroNet’s open-source project.

I am using this software as a framework to emulate BBS software known as MTABBS written by Michael S. Livorsi.  It was his software on which I experienced my first true BBS and I hope to recreate it as close as possible here.

Many people feel console-based messaging systems are a dying breed. They served their purpose during the evolution of technology for sure.  Perhaps we can keep the spirit alive here at Cafe Chaos for just a little bit longer.
